ASC Shipbuilding, BAE Systems Australia
ASC Shipbuilding, a subsidiary of BAE Systems Australia, was awarded the contract to design and build a fleet of nine world-class anti-submarine warfare frigates at one of the most technologically advanced shipyards in the world, the Osborne Naval Shipyard. The Hunter Class Frigate Program, which will commence prototyping at the end of 2020 before construction on the first frigate begins in 2022, will create and sustain more than 5,000 jobs across ASC Shipbuilding and the wider Australian defence supply chain over the life of the program.

An Australian Government Initiative, the Naval Shipbuilding College works closely with industry, education and training providers to support the establishment and growth of the workforce to build and sustain shipbuilding projects in South Australia.
